There is one garden left. These gardens can be used for $5 per year, payable at the Town Hall. As of now, there are not enough people signed up for the Tower Hill trip. Please contact Gail Sumner if you are interested. Also, the bus trip to Newport for the Secret Garden Tour has very few people signed up. Please contact Margaret Otis if you are interested. Non-member friends are welcome. Margaret reminded the members that the minutes are now on the web site Design Workshop: Jeanne Tassinari reminded the members about the design workshop to be held on May 3, 2007 at Cape Cod Tech. 75th Anniversary Report: Ruth Alberding spoke about this wonderful occasion. She described this as a festive party for members to be held at the West Dennis Yacht Club on May 30, 2007. The Garden Club will subsidize the meal. Ruth strongly urged us all to wear hats. Plant Sale: Gerie Schumann spoke about the Plant Sale to held on May 26, 2007. Gerie passed around clipboards asking for committee heads to sign up as well as what you will donate. On May 16 members can bring plants to Gerie’s house to plant. She suggested that we get containers for the plants at either Christmas Tree Shop or Ocean State Job Lot. A practical suggestion for preparing the pots is to line the pot with a coffee filter so soil doesn’t leak through. A source for purchasing plants to sell is the House of Correction Farm, Route 6A in Barnstable. If you are donating ground cover, Gerie suggested that you donate 12 plants. Garden Tour: JoAnn Root and Nan Poor are co-chairs. Nan passed around clipboards for the members to sign up for shifts. The shifts are 9:30 – 11:30, 11:30 – 1:30 and 1:30 – 3:30. Nan urged all members to participate in the event. New Business: Life members Lee Clark, Charlotte Clark and Doris Schaub will be honored at the May meeting. New
