Margaret Otis called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.

The profit from the Bridge Luncheon was over $2,800.
Corresponding
Secretary’s Report:
Thank you cards were received from Ellen Schipke and Joan
Bittrich.
A get-well card was sent to Alayne Tsigas who is
recovering from surgery.
Thinking of you cards were sent to Diane Schoenfelder who
has a recurrence of cancer and to Charlotte Clark.
Program:
Jeanne Tassinari spoke about the Holiday Tea to be held
in December at Chatham Bars Inn.
An Art in Bloom program is planned for the April meeting
and a Lunch and Fashion show will be held in May at the
Captain’s Golf Course.
Membership:
Carrie Wailgum reported that 122 members were present
including one Life Member.
A new member, Kate Labrecque, was introduced.
There were two guests present.
Newsletter:
Peg Erdlen reported that the newsletter will be published
in early December.
Civic
Beautification:
Irene Mitchell
thanked all those who helped with the clean up at the various
gardens.
Doane Park will have to be done a second time after the
storm.
Design
Workshop:
Doris Casey reported that the December workshop is full
and there are only two openings for the January workshop.
Harwich
Port Stroll Boutique:
Lynne Drummond reviewed the e-mail that was sent out
regarding instructions for donations including the times and
places where the items can be dropped off.
Craft items may be dropped off at the Community Center on
November 13th between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m.
Fresh greens and baked goods may be dropped off at the
Village Center on November 30th between 10:00 a.m.
and 4:30 p.m.
Chamber
of Commerce (Town Pole Wreaths):
Glee Jansen reported that the pole wreaths are done.
Town
Building Wreaths:
Barbara Winchell
announced a workshop will be held at the Community Center on
December 6, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
Doane
Park Christmas Decorations:
Jean Delaney reported that the decorations are all set
and will be in place by November 30th.
Ways
and Means:
Eileen MacCaughern reports that they are selling vests,
note cards and gloves.
Bridge
Luncheon:
Margaret Otis gave a big thank-you to Anne Lawson and her
committee for a very successful Bridge Luncheon.
Conservation:
Jane Molyneux reports that the Harwich Conservation Trust
has two walks planned.
The first, on November 17 at 2:00 p.m., is at the Coy
Park Woodlands.
The second is on December 8, 2007 at the D. Isabel Smith
Monomoy River Conservation Lands.

Margaret Otis reminded us that a cash donation for teenage boys
will be taken up at the Holiday Tea.
This money will donated to the Family Pantry.
