Margaret Otis called the meeting to order at
12:30 p.m.
with 73 members and several Associates present.

thank you note was received from the Chase Library for
the Christmas wreath.A thank you note was received from the
Family Pantry for the $1105.00 donated for the teen age boys in
Dec.
A thank you note was received from Michael Lach for the Harwich
Conservation Trust donation we made in Jan.
A thank you note was received from Joan Oster, sister of Gail
Sumner, for the many cards, flowers and visits Gail received
from our members. Gail’s Memorial Service will be April 18th
at
Pilgrim
Church
.
Rose Connenny is having foot surgery. It will be day surgery and
she is expecting an 8 week recovery period. We will send her a
“Thinking of You” card.
Membership – Carrie Wailgum reported
that 6 new members will be joining us in June.
Programs
– Jeanne Tessinari reported that
plans for the April Table Design Program are underway. If you
are interested in volunteering, contact Sue Hart.
The May Fashion Show will be at the Seaview. See Elaine Sampson
if you are interested in assisting. Clothing shops being used
are Hunters, ABC’s in W.Dennis, and
they are looking for a third.
Two
new books have been purchased: Design by Types
and Handbook for Flower Shows.

Building
Wreaths – Aline

you to turn in the ribbons and shells from this years wreaths.
Scholarship
– Peter Sawyer received $2000.00.
The application is being revised for next year.

Publicity
– Maisie Wall will be away from Feb. 7th to
April 4th so

Business – A beautiful crocheted afghan made and donated
by Linda Felice was
raffled off. Ruth
Weinberg was the lucky winner. The raffle
made $82.00 for the Club.
Brewster Garden Club is having a House Plant workshop tomorrow,
Feb. 4, at Crockers Nursery.

Brewster will be having a Game Day Fund Raiser at Our Lady of
the
Cape
Parish
Center
. Bring your Game of choice. Tables, Refreshments and Door
Prizes are provided. Tickets are $10.00 a person at the door.

April 6 - 10, 2009
Harwich
Conservation Trust and Americorp are scheduling a clean up week
at Thompsons Field between 10 and 3 each day. They will be
clearing paths, removing dead vegetation
and thinning stands of Pitch Pines.
